We believe that the message of God's Word is a message for life.

That's why our mission statement is bound up in five simple words: equipping servant leaders for life. I was introduced to this passion 20 years ago by one of my seminary professors. To him, ministry was not an occupation, but a lifelong obsession that overflows with both scholarship and enthusiasm. He knew that great teachers did not communicate head to head, but heart to heart. At Shepherds, our dedicated faculty will train men and women with this same kind of scholarship and passion. Equipping servant leaders for life is more that a mission statement, it is our divine occupation. . . our ministry passion.

Advantage

At Shepherds Theological Seminary, students will learn from those who practice on Sunday what they teach on Monday. STS provides students with the opportunity to learn from academically qualified professors who are practicing what they are teaching through their involvement in vocational ministry.

Legacy

Seminary students will receive an education that extends beyond the classroom. The committed and experienced faculty will pour both their knowledge as well as their experience into the life of each student.

Experience

It is the goal of STS that every student would not just be equipped to serve, but be provided with opportunities to serve. Because of the wonderful relationship between Colonial Baptist Church and STS, many students will have the opportunity to minister as members of the Colonial church family.

A great education will affect the way a student thinks. At STS, students will be confronted with the unchanging truths of the Word of God. This truth coupled with essential biblical tradition will serve as a solid foundation for a lifetime of ministry.
